Salsa Camp Weekend

If you like Salsa and Cuban rhythms, this is where it happens!

Come and get a lot of new inspiration. Get a joyful salsa weekend, and get to know new people.

Everyone can participate, both singles and couples. We have classes for beginners and beginners- intermediate.

We are used to make the salsa camp in the summer, and this year we have with great success been at Langebæk Kursus and Retreat Center, instead of at Rødkilde TeaterHøjskole, where we usually are. As they are renovating. Langebæk Kursus og Retreat Center is a very beautiful place in South Sealand. Read more about the place at kursusogretreat.dk.

Friday the 7th September - Sunday the 9th September (Beginner-Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced)

Accomodation

There will be space for around 40 participants. 30 in the house at double rooms or triple rooms, 2 single rooms, and when we are full at Langebæk, there are possibility to live in rooms in the manor, which is a 2 minutes walk away.

We finish the last day with a big party arrangement. See the program for the whole week right below.

Every year we have 30% couples and 70% singles from all over the country, and the rest of Scandinavia, and a few from the rest of Europa, that participates in our fantastic salsa camp.

The classes

You will besides Salsa, also get to dance a bit of some: Reggaeton, Bachata, Son and Rumba. 

You don’t have to have a dance partner to participate, but it is always a good idea to try to find a friend, that will join. If you go to dance classes, you can ask one from your dancing team, if the Salsa Camp could be something for them. You shift dancing partners all the time, on every team, so everyone will get danced with a lot of different people.

Program

Sunday evening there is arrival

Everyone arrives at the school between 18:00 – 19:30.

There is dinner between 20:00 – 20:30.

From 20:30 – 21:00 we have a information meeting 

From 21:00 to 23:00 Salsa social

Teaching from Monday til Friday

08:00 - 09:00: Breakfast

09:00 - 09:15: Morning meeting (in the hall)

09:15 - 12:15: Dance Classes

12:30 - 13:30: Lunch

13:30 - 15:30: Free time and relaxing

15:30 - 17:30: Dance Classes

19:30 - 21:00: Prom dinner

21:00 - 02:00: Final party (This is an open event, where your friends and family and local citizens can participate. See under prices and booking, it is also possible to stay at Langebæk.)

There is a pause in the middle of the day, so you have time to relax, go to the beach, or enjoy a walk in the city.

In the evening there is more dance, where we make a Salsa Disco, so everyone can train what they have learned during the day and have fun together. We have a nice, cheap bar and take Mobile Pay and cash.

Sunday is the departure day

09:00 - 10:30: Breakfast/brunch

10:30 -12:30: Salsa Classes

13:00 -13:30: Lunch

 

14:00: Check-out from the rooms

 

Important information: PLEASE bring their towels, sheets and bedding (not duvets and pillows).

Remember track suits, soft shoes or dancing shoes! The first day it is possible to buy dancing shoes down here.

There are not private baths on the rooms, but shared bathrooms in the hallways, where you can lock the door.

Arrival Sunday between 18:00  and 19:30. When you arrive, you have to go the dining room, where you be showed to your room.
